Custom-Made Products

All Gaijin Smash products are custom-made to order through our print-on-demand partner, Printful. Because each item is created specifically for you, we have specific return and refund guidelines.

Return Eligibility

✅ We Accept Returns For:

  • Defective Products: Manufacturing defects, printing errors, or quality issues
  • Damaged in Transit: Items damaged during shipping with visible package damage
  • Wrong Item Sent: If you received a different product than ordered
  • Incorrect Size/Color: If we sent the wrong size or color (our error only)

❌ We Cannot Accept Returns For:

  • Change of Mind: Customer changed their mind after ordering
  • Wrong Size Ordered: Customer selected incorrect size (please check size charts)
  • Color Variation: Minor color differences due to screen display variations
  • Worn or Washed Items: Products that have been worn, washed, or altered
  • Items Without Tags: Products with removed tags or labels

Return Timeframe

You must report any issues within 30 days of delivery.

Important: The 30-day period starts from the delivery date, not the order date. Please inspect your item immediately upon delivery.

How to Request a Return

  • Order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Clear photos showing the problem

Photo Evidence Required

Please provide clear photos of:

  • The defect or damage (close-up)
  • The entire product
  • The product tag/label
  • The shipping package (if damaged in transit)

We Review Your Claim

Our team will review your claim within 2-3 business days and determine eligibility.

Resolution Options

If approved, we'll offer:

  • Replacement: We'll print and ship a new item (most common)
  • Refund: Full refund to original payment method (severe cases)
  • Store Credit: Credit for future purchase (optional)

Refund Processing

Refund Timeline

Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take an additional 3-5 business days to appear in your account.

Refund Method

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at purchase. We cannot issue refunds to a different card or account.

What's Refunded

Your refund includes the product cost. Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a defective product.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you need a different size or color:

  1. Request a return for the original item
  2. Receive your refund
  3. Place a new order for the desired size/color

Tip: Check our size charts carefully before ordering to avoid returns due to sizing issues.

Print Quality Standards

Our products are printed using high-quality DTG (Direct-to-Garment) printing. Minor variations are normal:

✅ Normal Print Characteristics:

  • Slight texture variation in print area
  • Minor color variation from screen display (± 5-10%)
  • Faint print smell that fades after first wash
  • Vintage/distressed look on certain designs (intentional)

❌ Defective Print Issues:

  • Missing print elements or text
  • Significant misalignment (> 1 inch)
  • Cracked or peeling print upon arrival
  • Wrong design printed
  • Severely faded or washed-out colors

Shipping Damage

If your package arrives damaged:

  • Take photos of the damaged package before opening
  • Document any visible damage to the product inside
  • Contact us within 48 hours with photos
  • Keep all packaging materials for potential carrier inspection

We'll work with our shipping carrier to file a claim and send you a replacement at no charge.

International Returns

The same return policy applies to international orders. However:

  • Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the product is defective
  • Customs fees and import duties are non-refundable
  • Items must clear customs in their original country for return acceptance
