Everything you need to know
Products & Quality
Absolutely. Every design is created by someone who lived in Tokyo and speaks Japanese. No Google Translate disasters here—just authentic slogans that actually make sense and sound cool to native speakers.
We use premium Bella + Canvas blanks made from 100% combed and ring-spun cotton (4.2 oz/yd²). Heather colors are 52% cotton / 48% polyester blends. The fabric is pre-shrunk, side-seamed, and designed to last.
Each shirt is printed using high-quality direct-to-garment (DTG) technology for vibrant, durable prints. Blanks are ethically sourced from Nicaragua, Honduras, or the USA with fair labor practices.
Our DTG prints are designed to last. To keep your shirt looking fresh: wash inside out in cold water, tumble dry low or hang dry, and avoid ironing directly on the design. With proper care, your shirt will stay vibrant for years.
Sizing & Fit
Our shirts fit true to size using standard US sizing. Check the detailed size chart on each product page for exact measurements (chest width, length, sleeve length). When in doubt, measure your favorite shirt and compare!
We offer one-time size exchanges within 30 days of delivery. Contact us at support@gaijin-smash.net with your order number, and we'll help you get the right fit. You'll cover the cost difference for the new item. Make sure the original item is unworn and unwashed!
Shipping & Delivery
We ship worldwide! Yes, even to Japan (the irony isn't lost on us). We have fulfillment centers in the US, Europe, Canada, Japan, and Australia, so your order ships from the facility closest to you for faster delivery. See our full shipping policy for rates and delivery times to your country.
Each shirt is printed on demand for you (no mass production here!). Production takes 2-5 business days. After that, shipping times vary: US domestic (3-4 days), Japan domestic (3-4 days), Canada (3-5 days), Europe (5-20 days), other international (5-20 days). You'll receive tracking info once your order ships.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and order size. Rates start at $4.75 for US and Japan orders. For Canada and UK, duties and taxes are included in the shipping price (no surprise fees on delivery!).
For Canada and UK orders, customs duties and taxes are included in your shipping cost (we use DDP shipping). For other international destinations, customs fees may apply and are the customer's responsibility. Most orders ship from local facilities (US orders from US, EU orders from EU, etc.) which often avoids customs entirely!
Payment & Security
We accept all major payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay.
Japan customers can also use JCB cards, PayPay, LINE Pay, Rakuten Pay, and Konbini (convenience store) payment. Prices are shown in Japanese Yen (¥) for customers in Japan.
Absolutely. We use industry-leading payment processors (Shopify Payments powered by Stripe and PortOne) with bank-level encryption. We never see or store your full credit card details—all payment information is handled securely by PCI-compliant payment providers. Your data is protected with 256-bit SSL encryption.
Returns & Exchanges
Since each item is custom-printed for you, we can't accept returns for change of mind. We do accept returns for manufacturing defects or shipping damage.
If your item arrives damaged or defective: Email us at support@gaijin-smash.net within 30 days with photos. We'll send you a replacement at no cost—no need to ship the damaged item back. We stand behind our quality!
Orders go to production quickly! Contact us immediately at support@gaijin-smash.net if you need to cancel or change your order. If it hasn't been sent to production yet, we can help. Once it's in production, we can't stop it.
About the Brand
I lived and worked in Tokyo for years. This isn't a tourist's view of Japan—it's an insider's perspective shaped by real experience navigating Japanese culture, language, and street style. Check out the About page for the full story.
Since all products are made-to-order through print-on-demand, designs don't go "out of stock" in the traditional sense. The core collection is always available. Occasionally I may retire a design, but I'll announce that in advance.
