Everything you need to know
Products & Quality
Absolutely! This is our brand promise. Every design is created by someone who lived in Tokyo and speaks Japanese. No Google Translate disasters here—just authentic slogans that actually make sense and sound cool to native speakers.
Our shirts are premium 100% cotton (or cotton blends for heather colors) printed with high-quality direct-to-garment (DTG) technology. Each product page includes detailed material specifications.
Our DTG prints are designed to last. To keep your shirt looking fresh: wash inside out in cold water, tumble dry low or hang dry, and avoid ironing directly on the design. With proper care, your shirt will stay vibrant for years.
Sizing & Fit
Our shirts fit true to size using standard US sizing. Check the detailed size chart on each product page for exact measurements (chest width, length, sleeve length). When in doubt, measure your favorite shirt and compare!
We offer one-time size exchanges within 7 days of delivery. Contact us at support@gaijin-smash.net with your order number, and we'll help you get the right fit. You'll cover the cost difference for the new item. Make sure the original item is unworn and unwashed!
Shipping & Delivery
We ship worldwide! Yes, even to Japan (the irony isn't lost on us). We have fulfillment centers in the US, Europe, Canada, Japan, and Australia, so your order ships from the facility closest to you for faster delivery. See our full shipping policy for rates and delivery times to your country.
Each shirt is printed on demand for you (no mass production here!). Production takes 2-5 business days. After that, shipping times vary: US domestic (3-8 days), Europe (3-10 days), Canada (3-12 days), Japan (3-10 days), other international (7-20 days). You'll see estimated delivery dates at checkout and receive tracking info once your order ships.
US domestic shipping starts at $5.90 for Economy (5-8 days) or $7.90 for Standard (3-4 days). International shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and order weight. For Canada and UK, duties and taxes are included in the shipping price (no surprise fees on delivery!).
For Canada and UK orders, customs duties and taxes are included in your shipping cost (we use DDP shipping). For other international destinations, customs fees may apply and are the customer's responsibility. Most orders ship from local facilities (US orders from US, EU orders from EU, etc.) which often avoids customs entirely!
Yes! Once your order ships (after production), you'll receive an email with tracking information. You can track your package on the carrier's website (USPS, UPS, DHL, etc.). Processing orders usually ship within 2-5 business days.
Payment & Security
We accept all major payment methods! US customers can use Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. Japan customers can also use JCB cards, PayPay, LINE Pay, Rakuten Pay, and Konbini (convenience store) payment. We support 70+ payment methods worldwide through our secure payment partners.
Absolutely. We use industry-leading payment processors (Shopify Payments powered by Stripe and PortOne) with bank-level encryption. We never see or store your full credit card details—all payment information is handled securely by PCI-compliant payment providers. Your data is protected with 256-bit SSL encryption.
Yes! Customers in Japan will see prices in Japanese Yen (¥). Our checkout automatically detects your location and displays prices in your local currency when available. All payments are processed securely regardless of currency.
Not currently, but we accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay which offer similar convenience and security. These digital wallet options allow you to check out quickly without entering your card details every time.
Konbini (コンビニ) payment is a popular cash payment method in Japan. After placing your order, you'll receive a payment code that you can take to any convenience store (7-Eleven, FamilyMart, Lawson, etc.) to pay in cash. Your order will be processed once payment is confirmed—usually within a few hours.
Returns & Exchanges
All sales are final. Since each item is custom-printed for you, we can't resell returned items. We only accept returns for manufacturing defects or shipping damage. If there's a quality issue, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we'll make it right.
We stand behind our quality! If your item arrives with a manufacturing defect or shipping damage, email us at support@gaijin-smash.net within 7 days with photos. We'll send you a replacement at no cost—no need to ship the damaged item back.
Orders go to production quickly! Contact us immediately at support@gaijin-smash.net if you need to cancel or change your order. If it hasn't been sent to production yet, we can help. Once it's in production, we can't stop it.
Sustainability & Ethics
We use print-on-demand, which means zero inventory waste. Traditional fashion brands produce thousands of units upfront and often throw away 30% of unsold stock. We only make what you order—no excess, no landfill waste, no overproduction.
This made-to-order model means:
- Zero overstock sitting in warehouses
- Lower carbon footprint from storage and transportation
- No end-of-season clearances or disposal
- Fresh prints every time, not warehouse stock
We use premium Bella + Canvas blanks, known for their quality and ethical manufacturing:
- Men's & Unisex: 100% combed and ring-spun cotton (4.2 oz/yd²)
Heather colors: 52% cotton / 48% polyester - Women's: 100% combed and ring-spun cotton (4.2 oz/yd²)
Heather Prism colors: 99% cotton / 1% polyester
Athletic Heather: 90% cotton / 10% polyester
Other Heathers: 52% cotton / 48% polyester
Why combed ring-spun cotton? It's softer, stronger, and lasts longer than regular cotton. The fabric is pre-shrunk and side-seamed for durability.
Blanks sourced ethically: Our Bella + Canvas shirts are sourced from Nicaragua, Honduras, or the United States, all locations with fair labor practices and safe working conditions.
Printed locally in the USA: Your shirt is printed at the fulfillment center closest to you. For US orders, this means printing happens domestically, reducing shipping distances and carbon emissions.
We partner with production facilities that meet strict quality and ethical standards—no sweatshops, no exploitative labor.
Our fulfillment partners use minimal, recyclable packaging—no excessive boxes or plastic filler. Orders ship from the facility nearest to you, which reduces transit distance and carbon footprint compared to shipping everything from a single warehouse.
For example, if you're in California, your shirt gets printed and ships from the West Coast. If you're in New York, it ships from the East Coast. Smarter logistics = lower emissions.
About Our Brand
